County Park
Located at Cty Hwy FF and Popko Circle West, Mercer, WI

Directions:

* From Hwy 51 in Mercer take Cty Hwy FF southwest for 5 miles, then left on County Park Road (side 1) or left on Popko Circle West (side 2 & 3)

* From Ashland County take Cty Hwy FF northeast for approximately 9.5 miles, then right on County Park Road (side 1) or right on Popko Circly West (side 2 & 3)

The campground layout offers three different areas for all camper types.  Each area has a pit toilet building, water available and self registration station.  All sites have a picnic table and firering.

Side one (12 sites), access via Park Road, is a more open field type area, excellent for group camping and easy access for RVs. Electricity  is available and will be upgraded this year (site #9 non-electric).  The pavilion and viewing deck overlooking the falls is located on this side as well as the boat ramp.

Side two (7 sites), access via Popko Circle West, features a more wooded camping area without electricity overlooking the falls.  Great for smaller trailers and preferred by tenters.

Turtle Flambeau Flowage
Turtle Flambeau Flowage fishing report
Lake of the Falls County Park is located just below Lake of the Falls on the Turtle River.  The park is  considered the headwaters of the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage a popular fishing destination.

Stop for a beautiful view of the Falls (10 feet) any time of the year.  The campground is popular with fisherman as access is easy to the Flowage.  The Turtle River and Flowage are beautiful kayaking and canoeing destinations providing hours of peaceful paddling.
Side three (13 sites), access via Popko Circle West, is a well shaded area with many sites overlooking the water.  All sites have updated electricity.  Sites vary in size but are sufficient for longer trailers and smaller RVs.
