 Trail Update:

ATV/UTV trails are OPEN.

Effective Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 7:00 am, Apple Creek Road in the Towns of Knight and Anderson will be CLOSED for bridge replacement.  Norman Creek Road will be used as a detour.  This closure will be effective through the end of September.

Iron County is located in far northern Wisconsin bordering Lake Superior, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Ashland, Vilas and Price Counties.  The third largest County Forest in the State of Wisconsin, Iron County offers plenty of recreational opportunities from hunting and fishing, to ATVing and snowmobiling, to camping, hiking and cross country skiing.  The Iron County Forestry Department is responsible for managing 174,317 acres of County Forest.
