Iron County Forestry and Parks

FIREWOOD:  All Firewood brought into any of the above parks must come from within 25 miles of the park or purchased from a WI certified firewood dealer.

Waterfalls, rustic camping & other places of interest

Several waterfalls are found on the Iron County Forest.  Many have established rustic campsites.  Camping is allowed for up to 2 weeks anywhere on the County Forest.

Weber Lake

Tucked in the foothills of the Penokee Range, Weber Lake is a local favorite featuring camping, fishing, swimming area and playground for the kids.  ATV trail access to Trail 6.  Camping first-come-first served.

Lake of the Falls

Lake of the Falls County Park is the fisherman's hideout featuring water access to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage.  Camping reservations accepted.

Schomberg Park

Schomberg Park is located on Hwy 51 between Hurley and Mercer.  Leave your campsite and you're in the heart of Iron County's ATV trail system.  Day use parking, loading ramp, ATV wash, restrooms and showers makes this campground the ATVers northern Wisconsin destination.  Large campsites also make this park the perfect overnight stop for RVers.  Camping reservations accepted.

Saxon Harbor

Saxon Harbor is your gateway to beautiful Lake Superior offering fishing, camping, sailing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, agate hunting and ATVing.  Harbor Lights Bar & Restaurant and Driftwood Bar & Campground are nearby.  Camping reservations accepted.

Camping & Waterfalls

The Iron County Forestry Department operates Saxon Harbor Campground & Marina, Lake of the Falls Campground, Schomberg Park Campground and Weber Lake Campground.  Camping is allowed anywhere on the County Forest for up to two (2) weeks including established rustic campsites at Potato River Falls, Wren Falls, Foster Falls, Shay's Dam and Spider Lake.
