Hunting & Hunting Trails

​Iron County has over 174,000 acres of public land available for hunting, fishing and trapping.  The Potato River Grouse Management Area has nearly 4 miles of marked trails covering 600 acres of County Forest.  

Snowshoe Trails

Don't ski?  Take a snowshoe hike through virgin hemlocks, across frozen streams, around the bog and wind among the hardwoods and aspen at Schomberg Park.

Cross Country Ski Trails

Enjoy scenic Iron County on your skis.  Visit Mecca, Montreal or Uller Ski Trails for exhilarating winter fun!

ATV/UTV Trails

Rocky, hilly terrain, straight shot railroad grades, and twisty, curvy wooded trails make Iron County the ultimate ATV destination.  Iron County has 118 miles of state funded ATV/UTV trails and many more miles of routes.

Snowmobile Trails

With 200+ inches of snow per year, Iron County, "Snow Capital of Wisconsin" has 304 miles of state funded Snowmobile trails.
